About

About Me

I am passionate about helping people live well. I specialize in the treatment of people not the treatment of problems. The human experience is embedded with difficult challenges that often produces great amounts of personal and relational pain. And sometimes the challenges that push against warrant us partnering with a professional counselor to help us solve and resolve them so that we can live well.

In particular, I am trained to help people who are struggling against the power of sexual addictions. I have completed the certificate program, “Treating Sexual Addictions” by the American Association of Christian Counselors. I have also complete the training portion of the certification program of the American Association for Sex Addiction Therapy and I am currently under supervision in that program.

I also specialize in marriage/couples counseling as well as working along side individuals who a struggling with anger, career issues, relational issues, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and spiritual concerns.

I am currently (2015) pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at Regent University. My formal education includes a 2 year diploma in Christian Ministries from Rosedale Bible College. I earned a BA-Psychology from Cedarville University.  I earned a MA-Clinical Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary and was granted a license as a Professional Counselor – Clinical Resident, issued by the Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy Board. I am also a member of the American Counseling Association and the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Passion: Transformational Living

Living to fulfill God’s creative intent for me is the passion of my life. I believe part of my purpose for living is to come along side others who are in a season of personal need so that I can help them find satisfying solutions to life’s vexing problems.

Motivation: Mercy, Justice, Humility

Iam motivated by the call of God to love mercy, to do justice, and to walk with humility. As a counselor I approach my clients with mercy, grace, and compassion while working for the best interest of my client. I also have a deep understanding of my own limitations and personal needs so that is why I am committed to good self-care in order that I can provide exceptional services to those who counsel with me.
